Town of St. Albans, VT

Cohen Park - Eclipse Media Location

On Monday, April 8, 2024, at 3:26 pm, for 3 minutes and 33 seconds, the Town of St. Albans will be in the path of totality of the next Great American Total Solar Eclipse. We are inviting local and regional media to come experience it with us.

The last time we experienced totality as a country was August 21, 2017. In 2017 the eclipse stretched from the Pacific Northwest to the Southeastern coast of the U.S. Next year the eclipse starts on the West Coast of Mexico, moves up through Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Ohio, Erie PA, Buffalo, Rochester, the top of the Finger Lakes and Central New York, through the Adirondacks and the northern tips of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, and out through the Canadian Maritimes. We have been preparing for these 3 minutes and 33 seconds of darkness for the past seven years.

We are ready to welcome local and regional media members to our area as the premiere destination to broadcast the eclipse to the world. Our media area will be located at Cohen Park on Maquam Shore Road. We have limited parking and it will only be available to media who registers with the Town before hand. Contact Megan Sherlund at m.sherlund@stalbanstown.com or 802-524-7589 ext. 103 to register for a spot today!

Come play in the dark with us.
